We have a ton of customers with a huge range of scoring systems. Many are just slightly different than the average league, while others are complicated, unique, or one-offs (or all three!). Creating unusual scoring systems can be a fun part of the game. We support advanced scoring systems including (but not limited to) yardage bonuses, IDP, touchdowns by distance, field goals by distance, and different scoring by position (e.g TE premium). This article will go over how to change your scoring settings within Draft Dominator, as well as provide tips for a few specific scoring systems.
If you are automatically importing your league, your scoring system should automatically import scoring with the league (See the sites we import from here: League Hosting Sites Footballguys Supports). If you are manually entering your league, or if you need to change anything our system allows for a ton of options and a lot more customization than most other services allow. We can't cover every conceivable situation, but even if we can't cover your system exactly, you should be able to input something really close.
Set Up Scoring for Your League
Scoring Settings is found in the Draft/Draft Settings (Gear Icon) menu.
Once there you can adapt the Dominator to your league's scoring requirements by changing the options within. each scoring category. You can change the category via the dropdown menu at the top of the Scoring Settings.
We've already pre-set each position for the most common scoring conventions for each category (Passing; Rushing; Receiving; Fumbles; Kicking; Kick Return; Punt Return; Defense (IDP); and Team Defense), but you'll want to cross-check these settings with your league's rules. If you find something that differs from the pre-set parameters - no problem. Just click the drop-down box next to the appropriate item and edit your league's scoring. For example, if running backs, receivers, and tight ends get one point per reception in this league, you'll need to tell the Dominator this information. Go to scoring settings; click "Receiving" at the top left; and then enter 1 in the Points per Receptions box. Once this setting is changed, and you click the green Done button, the Dominator will recalculate the scoring for this league, and generate a new suggested draft list based on one point per reception. The players' order in the main draft list will reorder based on this scoring requirement.

Distance Scoring Presets and Adjusting Presets
The Draft Dominator is preset to award 4 points for TDs of 0-9 yards; six points for TDs between 10-29 yards; 8 points for TDs from 30-49 yards, and 10 points for TDs of 50+ yards. However, you can change any of these awards (per 10-yard increments) to reflect your league's scoring parameters by simply highlighting the number in the box and replacing it with the appropriate point award.
Point Award for 2 Pt. Conversions
Just above the Yardage Bonus Scoring, you'll see a box labeled Pts Per 2 Point Conversion - the Draft Dominator is preset to award 0 points for a 2-point conversion, but if your league does award points when players throw, run in or catch a 2 point conversion, this is the place to enter that point award.
Yardage Bonus Scoring
At the bottom of the Scoring Setting box, there are three ranges of Yardage Bonus Scoring - Draft Dominator is preset to not award points in those ranges, but if your league features Yardage Bonus Scoring here is where you'll enter the appropriate award(s). Simply edit the scoring for the indicated ranges (for rushing they are 100-149 yards; 150-199 yards; at least 200 yards). After all of the bonus scoring (and other scoring parameters) match your league's rules, hit the green Done button in the lower right to save the information. The Draft Dominator will now generate a custom draft list based on all the scoring parameters for your league.
