In the Draft Dominator, rosters can be displayed by lineup (overall or for a given week), picks, by pos, or rate my team.
The By Pos screen will split out your roster by position and rate each.
It gives a percentage strength for each position along with a graphical chart displaying this number.
The number is calculated by first comparing your starting lineup spots to the "best-case scenario" for your league.
So, for a league that starts two running backs, your best running back will be compared to the best running back available in the league. Your second-best running back will be compared to the 13th-best running back available in the league (for a 12-team league). If you were to own the 1st and 13th best running backs, you would, therefore, score 100% for these two starting spots.
The rating also approximates how much strength you are expected to have on the bench for each position. If you have 10 starting spots and 8 bench spots, and you start 1 QB, the app will assume you are not going to bench a kicker and a defense, leaving 8 starting spots for 8 bench "backups". Therefore, you'd be expected to roster 1 quarterback on your bench (along with your starter). So, if you bench quarterbacks that are equivalent in strength to the 13th-best quarterback (in a 12-team league), you would be rated at 100% bench strength.
The starting and bench ratings are then combined, obviously with priority given to the starter ratings.
There is also an advanced algorithm that splits up the score for your flex or multi-position starting spots into each position.
